Rev007Attach the Mounting Plate to a Wood Stud WallIf you are mounting to a concrete or concrete block wall, skip this section and go to “Attach theMounting Plate to a Concrete or Concrete Block Wall” on page 9.(A) Locate the Wall StudsWall studs usually run vertically (up and down) inside the wall, behind the dry wall or plaster.You must attach the Mounting Plate(s) to two separate wall studs.You must attach the TV wall mount to a wall that has at least2” x 4” wood studs. Attaching the wall mount to smaller studs or metalstuds could result in property damage or personal injury.Using the stud finder, make a mark at the left and right edges of the two closest studs oneach side of the Mounted TV Center Point. Repeat this process to mark the same studs twicemore, approximately 6” above and 6” belowyour first stud location marks.Mark the centerline of each stud by holdingthe level vertically, and drawing a line halfwaybetween the left and right edges of each stud.These stud centerlines should be vertical, androughly parallel. If they are not, the studs maynot run continuously from floor to ceilingand you must not use them to hang the TV .Locate different studs that run continuouslyfrom floor to ceilingThe K2-F-SERIES and K2-T-SERIES require the wall studs to be 16 inches apartThese brackets cannot be used if the wall studs are spaced farther apart.Mounted TV Center PointW ood StudsWarning:(16 inches on center).www.k2mounts.com
