11 KDE-T-BA_IA-e-12106.6 AdjustmentAs the acceleration value due to gravity is not the same at every location on earth, each display unit with connected weighing plate must be coordinated - in compliancewith the underlying physical weighing principle - to the existing acceleration due togravity at its place of location (only if the weighing system has not already beenadjusted to the location in the factory). This adjustment process must be carried outfor the first commissioning, after each change of location as well as in case offluctuating environment temperature. To receive accurate measuring values it is alsorecommended to adjust the display unit periodically in weighing operation.Provide adjustment weight. The required adjustment weight depends on the capacity of theweighing system. Carry out adjustment as near as possible to thescale’s maximum weight. Info about test weights can be found on theInternet at: http://www.kern-sohn.comObserve stable environmental conditions. Stabilisation requires a certainwarm-up time. How to carry out adjustment: Start balance by pressingò Press key and hold. “CAL” will appear brieflyfollowed by a flashing display of the value for anadjustment weightHere is an example of “30.000 kg”(You can select the size of an adjustment weight in themenu under menu item “CAL”.) Place the adjustment weight in the centre of theweighing plate and press to confirm.“CAL F” will appear before the weighing scale changes toweighing mode.Adjustment has now been completed successfully. An error during adjustment or the use of an incorrect adjusting weight will resultin an error message „CAL E“. Repeat adjustment.
