The most accurate thermostats are the electronic ES230 or ESP230 models. If, in the future, you decide to remodelor add rooms to your home, you won’t have to worry about the size of your heating system. With electric heat you canadd to the heating system, in large or small increments.Q. Will the room heat up faster if I put the thermostat on 90 degrees when Iget home?A. No. The thermostat is just an on-off switch that is temperature sensitive. Theheater is either on or off.Q. My baseboards are on outside walls, should fan heaters be also?A. No. A fan heater, recessed into an outside wall, will create extra heat lossand air leakage for that room. An inside wall, facing a cold window, is the bestlocation.Q. My thermostat is above my fan-heater. Why?A. The fan heater blows warm air away from itself and into the room. By the timethe warm air has recirculated and reached the thermostat above the heater, acomfortable room temperature has been achieved.Q. Will my electric bill be lower if I use 120 volt heaters?A. No. Same size 120 volt and 240 volt heaters will use the same amountof power, measured in watts or kilowatts. Your electric company charges bykilowatt hours.Q. Should I clean my heater?A. Yes. Once a year you must clean and inspect your heaters. You may requesta copy of the operation & maintenance for your heater if you have lost it.Q. Why does my new heater produce smoke when I turn it on?A. In the manufacturing process a high temperature stove paint is used, whichwill burn when the heater is energized. The smoke will stop after the heater hasfully heated. There is no cause for alarm. It is recommended to open a windowduring initial operations.Q. If I need to replace my heater, can I use a higher wattage heater?A. Your electrical system was sized for the original heater’s wattage. A smallerheater would be OK, but a larger heater may create a hazard. Have the circuitchecked by a licensed electrician.Q. Are King heaters actually made in Seattle, Washington?A. Yes. Since 1958 we have made quality residential, commercial and industrialheating products in the same location.Temperature & cost relationship:When setting your thermostat, you may want toconsider the relative cost of various temperatures. The chart at right shows how much higher yourheating bill may be if you like temperatures warmerthan 70ºF (21ºC).Zone Control (setting the thermostats):Thermostat settings are a matter of personal preference.A few days of adjustments will help you determine thesetting that is comfortable for you. Most people keeptheir living quarters at 68 to 72ºF (20 to 22ºC) andsleeping areas at 65ºF (18ºC).It is also wise to set living areathermostats back at night, butnot below 60ºF (16ºC).80º79º71º70º+31.0%+28.0%+3.1%-3.1%69º78º74º75º77º72º76º73º+25.0%+21.9%+18.7%+15.6%+12.5%+9.4%+6.2%ESPBuilt-In Stat Kit - BackBuilt-In Stat Kit - FrontSMART LIMITP ROTECTION®Patent #US 6,748,163 B2MODEL DESCRIPTION UPC# 093319PART # WEIGHTSurface Can - white 19202Surface Can - almondGrill - whiteWSC10" x 17" Retrofit Grill10" x 17" Retrofit Grill - almond1920311914127851278019200442.5318605WG-SSGrill - almondWT-1 Single Pole Single Throw Built-In Thermostat Kit 12736 .5Double Pole Single Throw Built-In Thermostat Kit 12739 .5WHSC-AWHFG192041920544WSC-AWGWG-AGrill - stainless steel2.52.5WOGWOG-A 3WT-2WHSC Surface Can - whiteSurface Can - almondGrill - whiteGrill - almondWHFG-AWHFG17W13H 13" H x 17" W Oversize GrillWHT-1 Single Pole Single Throw Built-In Thermostat KitDouble Pole Single Throw Built-In Thermostat KitWHT-212520 2.512530 2.512523 3.512099 .512102 .5SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSKING ELECTRICAL MFG.
