LIMITED 5-YEAR WARRANTYonKAWAI CN, CA, CS AND CP MODEL DIGITAL PIANOSThank you for purchasing a KAWAI digital piano. KAWAI instruments are designed and manufactured to provide a high level of defect-free performance.KAWAI AMERICA CORPORATION (“KAWAI”) is proud of the workmanship that goes into its instruments. KAWAI sells its instruments through a network ofauthorized dealers and is pleased to offer you, the Original Owner, the following Limited Warranty which applies only to instruments that have been (1) directlypurchased from KAWAI’s authorized dealers in the United States and Canada (the “Warranted Area") and (2) used exclusively in the Warranted Area. KAWAI willnot warrant any instrument purchased outside of the United States or Canada. KAWAI suggests that you read this Limited Warranty document thoroughly andcontact your authorized KAWAI dealer or KAWAI Technical Services if you have any questions.THIS WARRANTY COVERS DIGITAL PIANO MODELS CN, CA, CS AND CP AGAINST DEFECTS IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP FOR FIVE (5) YEARS FROMTHE DATE OF PURCHASE.COVERAGEKAWAI will, at its option, repair or replace the instrument covered by thiswarranty if it becomes defective, malfunctions or otherwise fails to conformwith this warranty under normal use and service during the term of thiswarranty, without charge for labor or materials. Repairs may be performedusing new or refurbished parts that meet or exceed KAWAI specificationsfor new parts. If KAWAI elects to replace the instrument, the replacementmay be a reconditioned unit or another model reasonably equivalent to theoriginal instrument. KAWAI will attempt to perform service at the locationof the instrument. However, if this is not reasonably feasible, then You willbe responsible for any installation or removal charges and for any initialshipping charges if the instrument(s) must be shipped for warranty service.However, KAWAI will pay the return shipping charges to your locationwithin the USA or Canada if the repairs are covered by the warranty.This warranty does not cover (a) damage, deterioration or malfunctionresulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, improper installation oroperation or failure to follow instructions according to the Owner’s Manualfor this instrument; any shipping damage to the instrument (claims mustbe presented to the carrier); repair or attempted repair by anyone otherthan KAWAI or an authorized KAWAI Service Provider; (b) any unit whichhas been altered or on which the serial number has been defaced, modifiedor removed; (c) normal wear and tear or any periodic maintenance; (d)deterioration due to perspiration, corrosive atmosphere or other externalcauses such as extremes in temperature or humidity; (e) action noise causedby normal wear and tear; (f) damages attributable to power line surge orrelated electrical abnormalities, lightning damage or acts of God; or(g) RFI/EMI (Interference/noise) caused by improper grounding or theimproper use of either certified or uncertified equipment, if applicable. Anyevidence of alteration, erasing or forgery of proof-of-purchase documentswill cause this warranty to be void. This warranty covers only the originalowner and is not transferable.TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICEWarranty service will only be provided for defective instruments within theWarranted Area. Contact your authorized KAWAI dealer who will advise youof the procedures to be followed. If your authorized dealer cannot provideassistance, then contact KAWAI at the address or telephone number shownbelow. KAWAI may request that you send the defective instrument to a localauthorized KAWAI Service Provider or authorize return of the defectiveinstrument to KAWAI for repair. If you are uncertain as to whether a dealerhas been authorized by KAWAI, please contact KAWAI’s Technical ServicesDivision at the number shown below.Instruments shipped for service must (a) be packed securely; (b) beaccompanied by a detailed explanation of the problem(s) requiring service;(c) be accompanied by an unaltered copy of the original bill of sale, or otherdated proof-of-purchase document describing the instrument, as evidenceof warranty coverage; (d) exhibit a Return Authorization number issued byKAWAI on the outside of the shipping carton or packaging. KAWAI will notbe responsible for damage sustained by an instrument that is improperlypacked or shipped. Should any instrument submitted for warranty servicebe found ineligible therefore, an estimate of repair cost will be furnishedand the repair will be performed only if requested by you and upon receiptof payment or acceptable arrangement for payment.A N Y I M PL I E D WA R R A N T I E S , I NC LU DI NG WA R R A N T I E S OFMERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALLBE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE PERIOD OF TIME ASREQUIRED BY STATE LAW. KAWAI SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FORINCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR DAMAGES BASEDUPON INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE, DAMAGE TO ANY OTHEREQUIPMENT OR OTHER ITEMS AT THE SITE OF USE, OR INTERRUPTIONOF PERFORMANCES OR ANY CONSEQUENCES THEREOF. K AWAI’SLIABILITY FOR ANY DEFECTIVE INSTRUMENT IS LIMITED TO REPAIROR REPLACEMENT OF THE INSTRUMENT, AT KAWAI’S OPTION. SOMESTATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIEDWARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTALOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OREXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have otherrights which vary from state to state.
