For thisreason, they may be different from the actual panels.• In this manual, each model name is abbreviated as follows.– DNX893S: DNX8– DNX773S, DNX7160BTS: DNX7– DNX693S: DNX6– DNX573S, DNX5160BTS : DNX5If above icons are showed, read the article applicable tothe unit you use.• In operation procedures, bracket shape indicates the key orbutton you should control.< >: indicates the name of panel buttons.[ ]: indicates the name of touch keysPrecautions#WARNINGÑ To prevent injury or fire, take the followingprecautions:• To prevent a short circuit, never put or leave any metallicobjects (such as coins or metal tools) inside the unit.• Do not watch or fix your eyes on the unit’s display whenyou are driving for any extended period.• If you experience problems during installation, consultyour KENWOOD dealer.Ñ Precautions on using this unit• When you purchase optional accessories, check withyour KENWOOD dealer to make sure that they work withyour model and in your area.• You can select language to display menus, audio filetags, etc. See User Interface Setup (P.80) in theInstruction Manual.• The Radio Data System or Radio Broadcast Data Systemfeature won’t work where the service is not supportedby any broadcasting station.• The unit may not function properly if the connectorsbetween the unit and front panel are dirty. Detach thefront panel and clean the connector with a cotton swabgently, being careful not to damage the connector.Ñ Precautions on battery• Put the remote control in a place where it will notmove during braking or other operations. A dangeroussituation could result, if the remote control falls downand gets wedged under the pedals while driving.• Do not leave the battery near fire or under directsunlight. A fire, explosion or excessive heat generationmay result.• Do not recharge, short, break up or heat the batteryor place it in an open fire. Such actions may cause thebattery to leak fluid. If spilled fluid comes in contact withyour eyes or on clothing, immediately rinse with waterContents
