DP-R7090/R6090 (En)22Caution on disc usedCleaningIf fingerprints or foreign matter becomeattached to the disc, lightly wipe thedisc with a soft cotton cloth (or similar)from the center of the disc outwards,in a radial manner.StorageWhen a disc is not to be played for along period of time, remove it from theCD player and store it in its case.Label sidePlaying sideSticky pasteStickerNever play a cracked or warped disc.During playback, the disc rotates at high speed in the player.Therefore, to avoid danger, never use a cracked or deformed disc or adisc repaired with tape or adhesive agent.Do not use cleaning discs.Please do not use commercially available cleaning discs, they may dam-age the internal mechanism.MaintenanceDisc handling precautionsHandlingHold compact discs so that you do nottouch the playing surface.Be especially careful in the following conditions:÷ When the unit is brought from a cold place to a warm place, and thereis a large temperature difference.÷ When a heater starts operating.÷ When the unit is brought from an air - conditioned place to a place ofhigh temperature with high humidity.÷ When there is a large difference between the internal temperature ofthe unit and the ambient temperature, or in conditions wherecondensation occurs easily.÷ Do not attach paper or tape to eitherthe playing side or the label side ofcompact discs.÷ The paste left on the label surface aftera sticker has been peeled off is a factorwhich may cause malfunction. If thesurface is sticky due to remaining paste,be sure to clean it with alcohole beforeuse.Discs which can be played with this unitBeware of condensationWhen water vapor comes into contact with the surface of cold mate-rial, water drops are produced. If condensation occurs, correct opera-tion may not be possible, or the unit may not function correctly.This is not a malfunction, however, the unit should be dried.To do this, turn the ON/STANDBY ( ) switch ON and leave theunit as it is for several hours.CD (12 cm, 8 cm) (CD-TEXT support), CDV (only the audiopart)÷ With CD-G (CD Graphics) discs, this unit can play only the audio.Note related to transportation and movementBefore transporting or moving this unit, carry out the followingoperations.1. Turn the unit ON but do not load a disc.2. Wait a few seconds and verify that the display shown appears.3. Press the 00000 OPEN/CLOSE key to open the disc tray completely.4. Press the 00000 OPEN/CLOSE key again to close the tray.5. Wait a few seconds and set the unit to STANDBY mode.NO ID CSCleaningDo not use volatile solvents such as alcohol, paint thinner, gasoline,or benzine, etc. to clean the cabinet. Use a clean dry cloth.Do not use contact cleaners because it could cause a malfunction.Be specially careful against contact cleaners containing oil, for theymay deform the plastic components.CD accessoriesThe CD accessories (stebilizer, protection sheet, protection ring, etc.)which are marketed for improving the sound quality or protecting discsas well as the disc cleaner should not be used with this system be-cause they may cause malfunction.
