51 RCA cable ground lead terminal2 FILTER switchThese switches allow filtering of thespeaker output signals.• HPF (High Pass Filter) position(KAC-628 only)Only frequencies of 150 Hz or higher areoutput. (Frequencies below 150 Hz are cut.)• LPF (Low Pass Filter) positionOnly frequencies of 80 Hz or lower areoutput. (Frequencies above 80 Hz are cut.)The Lch and Rch will be mixed beforeoutput even if the operation switch is set toSTEREO.• OFF positionThe original sound without filtering isoutput.3 OPERATION switchThis switch allows selection of theamplification method of input signals.• STEREO positionThe amplifier can be used as a stereoamplifier.• L+R position (KAC-628 only)The input left and right signals arecombined before being amplified. Use thisposition when the unit is used forsubwoofer speakers or the L+R (monaural)sound is required.• MONO (Lch) positionAmplifies the signal input from the left sideonly. Set to this position and make bridgedconnections to use as a high-powermonaural amplifier. Whenmultiple speakers are to be connected,ensure that the combined impedance is 2Ωor greater for each channel.• Bridged Connections:When you wish to use the unit as a high-output monaural amplifier, bridgedconnections are used. (Make connectionsto the LEFT channel (+) and the RIGHTchannel (–) SPEAKER OUTPUT terminals.)The speakers to be connected should havean impedance of 4Ω or greater. Whenmultiple speakers are to be connected,ensure that the combined impedance is 4Ωor greater.The rated input of the speakers should beno less than the maximum output of theamplifier.
