If the unitstill does not operate normally after a while,consult your Kenwood dealer.Cleaning the Faceplate TerminalsIf the terminals on the unit or faceplate getdirty, wipe them with a dry, soft cloth.Cleaning the UnitIf the faceplate of this unit is stained, wipe itwith a dry soft cloth such as a silicon cloth.If the faceplate is stained badly, wipe the stainoff with a cloth moistened with neutralcleaner, then wipe neutral detergent off.Applying spray cleaner directly to the unit mayaffect its mechanical parts. Wiping thefaceplate with a hard cloth or using a volatileliquid such as thinner or alcohol may scratchthe surface or erases characters.Cleaning the CD SlotAs dust tends to accumulate in the CD slot,clean it every once in a while. Your CDs canget scratched if you put them in a dusty CDslot.RDS (Radio Data System)When listening to an RDS station, theprogramme service name of the station isdisplayed, advising you quickly which station isbeing received.RDS (Radio Data System) stations alsotransmit frequency data for the same station.When you are making long trips, this functionautomatically alternative switches to theparticular frequency with the best receptionfor the particular network of stations that youwant to listen to. The data is automaticallystored, allowing you to switch quickly toanother RDS stations, broadcasting the sameprogramme, that has better reception. Theseinclude stations stored in the station presetmemory that you often listen to.Enhanced Other NetworkStations that offer Network> also transmit information aboutother RDS stations that have trafficinformation.
