11. Other specifications• Automatic panel closing when a CD is inserted is inhib-ited. Method of registration of the security code afterEEPROM (Tuner Unit Ass'y) replacement (Codesecurity model)1) Enter the test mode. (See 1. How to enter the test mode)2) Press the CLK key to enter the security registrationmode.3) Enter the code using the Preset 1/2/3/4 keys.Example : To enter “3510”• Press the Preset 1 key 4 times.• Press the Preset 2 key 6 times.• Press the Preset 3 key twice.• Press the Preset 4 key once.4) Hold down the DISP key for at least 3 seconds and themessage, “RE-ENTER” appears, so once again enterthe code according to step 3) above.5) Press and hold the DISP key for 3 seconds until “AP-PROVED” is displayed.6) Exit from the test mode. Method of writing the Mask key while theEEPROM is in the initial status1) Enter the test mode. (See 1. How to enter the test mode)2) Press the CLK key to enter the Mask key registrationmode. “TRANSMIT1” should be displayed now. The dis-play at this time should show “< >” in place of “ [ ] ”.3) Point the Mask key remote toward the light sensor, andpress and hold its key for more than 0.5 second.4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, press and hold thekey on the Mask key remote for more than 0.5 secondagain. The first and second counter codes are not com-pared at this time.5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, the write operation iscomplete. Now the demonstration mode is initiated andthe test mode is terminated.(Note) In the same way as previous models, if 30 minuteshave elapsed with no code written, an error occursand the power is turned OFF.4. Method of initializing the Mask key (How toreset the unit from the Mask key approvedcondition to the factory condition)1) Enter the test mode. (See 1. How to enter the test mode)2) “TRANSMIT1” is displayed and the Mask key entry re-quest mode is initiated. The display at this time shouldshow “ ✽ ✽ ” in place of “ [ ] ”.3) Press and hold the key on the Master key remote formore than 3 seconds.4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, press and hold thekey on the Master key remote for more than 3 secondsagain.5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, the Mask key iscleared, the demonstration mode is initiated, the testmode is terminated and the unit returns to the factorycondition.5. Method of clearing all Mask key-related data1) Enter the test mode. (See 1. How to enter the test mode)2) Press the CLK key to enter the Mask key registrationmode. “TRANSMIT1” should be displayed now.3) Point the Master key remote toward the light sensor, andpress and hold its key for more than 3 seconds (until thelevel display shows the full condition).4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, hold the key on theMask key remote for more than 3 seconds again. If“TRANSMIT1” is displayed in place of “TRANSMIT2”,restart the procedure from step 3).5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, all security data iscleared and the unit returns to the condition before Maskkey writing with the EEPROM in the initial status.9KDC-V7521/YTEST MODE |
