JVCKENWOOD reservesthe right to replace defective parts of the Product with partsand components of similar quality, grade and compositionwhere an identical part or component is not available. Productspresented for repair may be replaced by refurbished productsof the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished partsmay be used to repair the goods.WARRANTY PERIODThe KENWOOD bra nd car stereo is expressly warranted for aperiod of ONE YEAR from the date of the original purchase.CONDITIONS OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTYThe follow i ng are not covered by this express warranty:1. Voltage conversions;2. Cabinets, grilles, other e xterior fi nishes, belts, tape heads,and other nondurable parts and accessories;3. Any fault caused by faulty installation, water damage, thevehicle (including its electronically system) or connection toan incorrect power supply;•· Periodic check-ups which do not disclose any defects coveredby this warranty;5. Products on which the serial number has been defected,modified or removed;6. Products that have been subject to abnormal conditions,including environment, temperature, water, fire, humidity,pressure, stress or similar;7. Alleged defects that are within accaptable industry variances;8. Damage or deterioration:a. Resulting from installation and/or removal of the product.b. Resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorizedproduct modification or failure to follow instructionscontained in the Owner's Manual.c. Resulting from installation of parts or accessories that donot conform to the quality or specifications of the originalparts or accessories.d. Occurring during shipment (claims must be present toshipper); and9. Damaged magnetic tapes.The warranty does not extend to:1. Installation and removal charges; or2. Shipping charges to or from an authorised JVCKENWOODService Centre.PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICEUNDER THE WARRANTY1. When requesting service under JVCKENWOOD warranty,preferably make your Product available for inspection andtesting to the dealer from whom you made the purchase,or to the nearest Authorised JVCKENWOOD Service Centrefor KENWOOD products, or ship your Product in its originalpackaging, or equivalent, with shipping charges and insuranceprepaid, to the Authorised JVCKENWOOD Service Centre forKENWOOD products. Otherwise, contact JVCKENWOOD atthe contact address listed below.• Attach the following to the Product:• the warranty record in the back of this page together;• a valid purchase docket attached; and• detailed description of the problem encountered, includingdetails of any problems wh ich relate to associatedequipment.2. If such inspection and testing find no defect in the Product,the purchaser, at JVCKENWOOD's discretion must payJVCKENWOOD's cost of service work, evaluation and testing.3.
