8■ ScramblerThe Scrambler function allows you to hold a conversation incomplete privacy. When activated, any other party listeningin on your channel will be unable to understand yourconversation.■ Squelch OffMomentarily press this key to hear background noise. Pressthe key again to return to normal operation.■ Squelch Off MomentaryPress and hold this key to hear background noise. Releasethe key to return to normal operation.■ Talk AroundThe Talk Around function allows you to communicatedirectly with other transceivers, without the use of arepeater.■ Temporary DeleteWhen Scan pauses at an undesired channel, you canremove that channel from the scanning sequence bypressing and holding this key for second.■ Low Transmit PowerEach channel is programmed with either high or low transmitpower. On high transmit power channels, press this key tochange the transmit power to low power (you cannot changelow transmit power channels to use high power).
