Tuners and receivers designed for RDS receptioncan extract the information from the broadcast signal foruse with various functions such as automatic display ofthe station name.R.D.S. (Radio Data System) (Except for some areas)This unit is equipped with the following functions utilizing RDS data:PTY (Program Type Identification) Search : ‚The tuner automatically searches for a station which is currently broad-casting a specified program type (genre).PS (Program Service Name) Display : (See below.)When an RDS broadcast is received, the station name is automaticallydisplayed.EON (Enhanced Other Network) : wWhen the information to be received is set in advance and any RDSstation in the same network starts broadcasting of such information, thereception automatically will be switched to that station.The “RDS” indicator lights up when anRDS broadcast (signal) is received.÷ Some functions may not be provided or be given different namesdepending on countries or areas.Pressing the RDS DISPLAY keychanges the display contents.Display mode priority rankingWhen an RDS broadcast is received :1 PS (Program Service Name) Display :When an RDS broadcast is received, the station nameis automatically displayed.If no PS data was sent, “NO PS” is displayed.2 Frequency Display :The frequency of the current station is displayed.Note before the use of RDSTo receive RDS stations, you have to preset RDS stations using the auto preset function. The auto preset function presets the RDSstations in priority.
