1-2 85053BGeneral InformationIncoming Inspection1-Calibration DefinitionsThe 85053B verification kit is intended to be used with the 85033E and 85052B3.5 mm calibration kits. Prior to performing a calibration with your networkanalyzer, the calibration kit must be selected and the calibration definitions forthe devices in the kit installed in the network analyzer. Refer to your PNA Helpsystem for instructions on selecting the calibration kit and performing acalibration.Installation of the Calibration DefinitionsThe calibration definitions for the kit should be permanently installed in theinternal memory or hard disk of the network analyzer. They may already beresident within the analyzer, or you can download them from Keysight’sCalibration Kit Definitions Web page athttp://na.support.keysight.com/pna/caldefs/stddefs.html. In addition, thecalibration definitions may be entered manually from the front panel. Refer toyour PNA Help system for instructions.Equipment Required but Not SuppliedSome items are not supplied with the verification kit but are required to ensuresuccessful operation of the kit. Refer to Table 6-3, “Items Not Included in theVerification Kit,” for a list of these items and for ordering information.OptionsThe following option is available for the 85053B verification kit:Option 910This option adds an additional copy of the user’s and service guide (thismanual).Incoming InspectionVerify that the shipment is complete by referring to the contents list in theshipping container.Check for damage. The foam-lined storage case provides protection duringshipping. Verify that this case and its contents are not damaged.If the case or any device appears damaged, or if the shipment is incomplete,contact Keysight Technologies — see “Contacting Keysight” on page 4.Keysight will arrange for repair or replacement of incomplete or damagedshipments without waiting for a settlement from the transportation company.Refer to “Returning a Kit or Device to Keysight” on page 4 for instructions.
