Once unsecured, the reference value will be indicated on the display.Adjustment considerations1 Allow the instrument to warm up and stabilize for 3 minutes before performingthe adjustments.2 Check that the battery levels are at least at two bars before performing anyadjustments. This ensures that during the adjustments, the low batteryindicator does not appear. If the low battery indicator appears, replace the batteries as soon as possibleto avoid false readings.3 Consider the thermal effects as you are connecting the test leads to thecalibrator and handheld multimeter. It is recommended to wait for 1 minutebefore you begin the calibration after connecting the test leads.4 Before proceeding with the ambient temperature adjustment, be sure to turnon the multimeter for at least 1 hour with the K-type thermocouple connected.NOTE After each adjustment, the display shows PASS briefly. If the calibration fails, the multimeter sounds a beep, and an error number is shown in the displaybriefly. Calibration error messages are described in “Calibration Error Codes” onpage 44.CAUTION Never turn off the multimeter during an adjustment. This may delete thecalibration memory for the present function.
