The switch can bepositioned to trip at any point on the scale. The switch is a reed type and uses a biasing magnet to give it thelatching feature. The float contains hermetically sealed magnet(s), sowhen the float comes in proximity to the switch it closes and remainsclosed (latched) when the float moves below the switch it resets itself.Contact King Instrument Company for multiple switch options.LATCHING REED SWITCH-ELECTRICALSPECIFICATIONSTYPE: SPDT / LatchingMAXIMUM CONTACT VOLTAGE: 100V DCMAXIMUM CONTACT CURRENT: 0.20 A DCMAXIMUM CONTACT POWER: 4 Watts DCBREAKDOWN VOLTAGE: 200V DCSTANDARD PULL-IN RANGE: 15-40 Ampere turnsINITIAL CONTACT RESISTANCE: 0.150 OhmCONNECTIONS - INTRINSICALLY SAFE WIRINGSWITCH ISOLATER 3 CONDUCTOR, 22Awg, 2’ Long1) White - N.O. switch output 12) Red - common3) Black - N.C. switch output 2SWITCH ISOLATOR OPTION:Latching reed switches can be used as stand alone devices, or may beconnected to a switch isolator for intrinsically safe applications. Thepurpose of the switch isolator is to supply electrical signals betweensafe and hazardous areas in either direction while limiting the amountof energy that can be transferred even under fault conditions. Switchisolators are available with 220VAC, 110VAC or 24VDC supply voltagerequirements, contain single pole double throw (SPDT) relays, and areDIN rail mountable. See switch isolator specifications for electrical con-nections and further details.FLOAT TYPES AND ORIENTATIONSGV FLOAT GS FLOAT LP FLOAT SL FLOATFLOAT TYPES ANDORIENTATIONS:LP FLOATMaximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityGV FLOAT (Rib Guided)Highest immunity toviscous fluids withmedium capacity.SL FLOATMaximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityGS FLOAT (Rib Guided)Maximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunitySP FLOATMaximum flow mcapacity with limviscosity immunGV FLOAT (Pole Guided)Highest immunity toviscous fluids withmedium capacity.GS FLOAT (Pole Guided)Maximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityFLOAT TYPES ANDORIENTATIONS:LP FLOATMaximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityGV FLOAT (Rib GuidedHighest immunity toviscous fluids withmedium capacity.SL FLOATMaximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityGS FLOAT (Rib Guided)Maximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunitySP FLOAMaximum flowcapacity withviscosity immGV FLOAT (Pole GuidedHighest immunity toviscous fluids withmedium capacity.GS FLOAT (Pole Guided)Maximum flow metercapacity with limitedviscosity immunityPressure and temperature ratings are basparticular materials used in construction aThis information is supplemented by destenclosures must never be operated withoexposed to difficult environments such asexcessive vibration or other stress inducinsuggested maximums.
