12. A qualified service agency must check for properoperating gas pressure upon installation of theheater.13. Light according to instructions on heater or withinowner's manual.14. It is extremely important to use the proper size andtype of gas supply line to assure proper functioning ofthe heater. Contact your fuel gas supplier for properline sizing and installation.15. This heater can be configured for use with either L.P.gas vapor withdrawal or natural gas. Consult thedataplate, located on interior of the burner end ormotor end door, for the gas configuration of thespecific heater. Do not use the heater in an L.P. gasliquid withdrawal system or application. If you are indoubt, contact the L.B. White Co., Inc.16. Eventually, like all electrical/mechanical devices, thethermostat can fail. Thermostat failure may result ineither an underheating or overheating conditionwhich may damage critical products and/or causeanimal injury or death. Critical products and/oranimals should be protected by a separate back-upcontrol system that limits high and low temperaturesand also activates appropriate alarms.17. Take time to understand how to operate and maintainthe heater by using this Owner’s Manual. Make sureyou know how to shut off the gas supply to thebuilding and also to the individual heater. Contactyour fuel gas supplier if you have any questions.18. Any defects found in performing any of the service ormaintenance procedures must be eliminated anddefective parts replaced immediately. The heatermust be retested by properly qualified servicepersonnel before placing the heater back into use.19. Do not exceed input rating stamped on the dataplateof the heater. Do not exceed the burner manifoldpressure stated on the dataplate. Do not use anorifice size different than specified for the specificinput rating of this heater, fuel type configuration andaltitude.1. Optional air diverters can be installed in the heateroutlet to provide direction to the heated air as it exitsthe heater. Installation options include installing thediverters in such a way as to broadly distribute the airin two 45 degree paths or to focus the air flow in one45 degree direction. See Fig. 2.2. The air diverters may require hand forming prior toinstallation. Make 90 degree bends utilizing theperformations provided. Diverter should then havethe shape shown in Fig. 2.3. The air diverter’s tabs on each half will pop into theblower outlet between the inside of the caseassembly and the blower housing outlet. If thenotched tabs do not pop into the blower outlet,loosen (do not remove) the blower outlet screws.Doing this provides a gap into which you can insertthe tabs.
