Step 8: Log in to your account on www.weatherdirect.com and follow the onlineinstructions to complete the registration and configure the TX60U-IT sensor sothat you may begin collecting measurement logs. You may select your desiredtransmission period (2, 5, 10, 20 minutes) and input your alarm settings fortemperature and humidity.Note: To delete or reset the TX60U-IT sensor from your account, press andhold the button on the sensor until the LCD displays a full segment and thendelete the record in your Weather Direct® account. WARNING: If you do this,you will have to re-register your device.OPTIONAL TEMPERATURE PROBEIf the optional probe for the TX60U-IT sensor is unplugged, the LCD on theTX60U-IT sensor will display "nC" for the CHANNEL 2 reading. The probe canbe plugged into the TX60U-IT sensor at anytime without resetting the units.AUTOMATIC SPREADSHEET CREATION OF MEASUREMENT LOGOnce the TX60U-IT sensor is set up on your www.weatherdirect.com accountand is building a measurement log, you can download the data to yourcomputer in the form of a spreadsheet. You have the option to either: "save thefile to your hard drive" or "open it directly from the website". You must have anapplication on your computer that supports Microsoft® Excel formatted files forthis option to work. No subscription required. Please refer towww.weatherdirect.com for more information.1 YEAR OF NOTIFICATIONS IS INCLUDED WITH INITIAL SENSORACTIVATION ON YOUR WWW.WEATHERDIRECT.COM ACCOUNT:Once the TX60U-IT sensor is set up on your www.weatherdirect.com account,you may choose to activate the optional cell phone / e-mail notifications:(1) If temperature or humidity exceed your defined range(2) If connection is lost(3) If batteries are lowBATTERY INSTALLATION1. Remove the battery cover by sliding the cover down.2. Observing the correct polarity install 2 AAA, Alkaline batteries. Thebatteries will fit tightly (to avoid start-up problems make sure they do notspring free).3. Replace the battery cover by sliding upwards. Be sure battery cover is onsecurely.LOW BATTERY INDICATORWhen batteries are low, the low battery indicator shows up on the LCD. You willreceive an e-mail or cellular notification (if notifications have been configured)when the battery power of the TX60U-IT sensor is low. Change the batteriesimmediately.Note: The LED turns ON briefly after changing batteries. However, the LEDturns OFF if there is no Weather Direct® Gateway connected. The previouslystored information in the TX60U-IT sensor will not be affected or cancelledwhile you change the batteries.MOUNTINGTHE TX60U-IT TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY SENSORThe TX60U-IT sensor can be mounted onto a wall with the use of screwsMOUNTING WITH SCREWS1. Remove the mounting bracket from theTX60U-IT sensor.2. Place the mounting bracket over the desiredlocation.3. Mark the mounting surface with a pencilthrough the two screw holes of the bracket,.4. Screw the mounting bracket onto themounting surface. Ensure that the screwsare tight against the bracket.5. Insert the TX60U-IT sensor into the bracket.TABLE STANDING AND OTHER MOUNTING OPTIONSWith the mounting bracket installed at the bottomor on the top of the TX60U-IT sensor, the user canplace it on any flat surface.Note: Before permanently fixing the TX60U-IT sensor wall base,place all units in the desired locations to check that the outdoortemperature & humidity readings are receivable. In event that thesignal is not received, relocate the TX60U-IT sensor or move themslightly as this may help the signal reception.MAINTENANCE AND CARE Extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock should be avoided to preventdamage to the units. Clean displays and units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents orscouring agents; they may mark the displays and casings. Do not submerge the sensor case in water. Avoid kinking the temperature probe cable. Immediately remove all low powered batteries to avoid leakage and damage. Opening the casings invalidates the warranty. Toreceive warranty service, the purchaser must contact La Crosse Technology, Ltd for problemdetermination and service procedures. Warranty service can only be performed by a LaCrosse Technology, Ltd authorized service center. The original dated bill of sale must bepresented upon request as proof of purchase to La Crosse Technology, Ltd or La CrosseTechnology, Ltd’s authorized service center.La Crosse Technology, Ltd will repair or replace this product, at our option and at no chargeas stipulated herein, with new or reconditioned parts or products if found to be defectiveduring the limited warranty period specified above. All replaced parts and products becomethe property of La Crosse Technology, Ltd and must be returned to La Crosse Technology,Ltd. Replacement parts and products assume the remaining original warranty, or ninety (90)days, whichever is longer.
