3POSITIONING THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSORThe remote temperature sensor should be mounted vertically to avoid damage.WALL MOUNT Install one mounting screw (not included) into a wall withintransmissionrange of the weather station, leaving approximately 3/16 ofan inch (5mm) extended from the wall. Place the transmitter onto the screw, using the hanginghole on the backside. Gently pull the transmitter down to lock the screw intoplace.NOTE: Always ensure that the transmitter locks onto the screwbefore releasing.TABLE STANDSet the transmitter upright on a table or desk.NOTE: This is not recommended as the transmitter may blow overand be damaged.To achieve a true temperature reading, avoid mounting where direct sunlight canreach the outdoor temperature sensor. It is recommended to mount the outdoortemperature sensor on a North-facing wall or in any well shaded area. Themaximum transmitting range in open air is 200-feet (60 meters) obstacles such aswalls, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range.Place both units in their desired location, and wait approximately 10 minutes beforepermanently mounting the sensor to ensure that there is proper reception.
