Groups helpto simplify users management and access to shares. They allowadministrators to change access rights to entire groups rather thanindividually.From this page, administrators can: create, modify, delete, and addusers to groups.TECHNICAL NOTE: Users can belong to multiple groups.TECHNICAL NOTE: If a discrepancy exists between the rights as-signed to an individual and rights assigned to a group to which theindividual belongs, the more permissible rights prevail. For exam-ple, if a user has access to a share called “Backup” and she belongsto a group that does not have this access, she will still have accessto “Backup” (see chart at right).4.8.1. Adding New GroupTo create a new group, click the green plus sign then fill in the groupname and description (optional) (Fig. 50).4.8.2.
