MagnaTherm Boilers and Water HeatersPage 719.H.19 Lead(Master)ConfigurationAll Connections to the Lag units must be made priorto configuring the Lead unit.Set up the Lead (Master) controller by going tothe Lead unit and opening up the Lead (Master)Configuration in that units Configuration Menu. SelectMaster EnableSelect OK and then Back out to the Main Menu.Wiring Connections for Lead Lag -Now you can make the Modbus wiringconnections between the units. See Figure 21 onpage 38The controller in each unit includes two wiringterminals for the Modbus system, labeled “MB1” and“MB2.” MB1 has the wiring connections to the UserInterface display on each unit, and MB2 is used tocommunicate with the other units in the Lead Lagsystem. To reach the controller, open the cabinet of theunit by turning the door lock and then opening thedoors. The wiring from the controller on the first unitruns to the controller on the next unit. Use 22 AWGor thicker shielded twisted-pair wire with drain. Twotwisted pairs or three conductors are needed. WireA on MB2 of unit 1 must be connected to A on MB2of unit 2, wire B on unit 1 goes to B on unit 2, andwire C on unit 1 goes to C on unit 2. Repeat thiswiring for any other units in the system. Connect allof the drain wires and ground the drain wire on oneend of the assembly only.SECTION 9.8 - Parameter Defaults & RangesConfig GroupCH Config- Central HeatCH Config- Central HeatCH Config- Central HeatCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- SetpointCH Config- ModulationCH Config- ModulationCH Config- ModulationCH Config- ModulationCH Config- ModulationOutdoor Reset ConfigOutdoor Reset ConfigOutdoor Reset ConfigOutdoor Reset ConfigOutdoor Reset ConfigDHW ConfigDHW ConfigDHW ConfigParameter Name DefaultAvailable settings or RangesEnable / DisableDrop After Priority TimeBoost During Priority TimeDrop After Priority TimeDHW SensorOutlet SensorEnabledAuto:DHW (S6) orSensor OnlyEnable / DisableSensor OnlySTAT TerminalAuto: DHW (S6) or EnviroCOM DHWAuto: DHW (S6) or Sensor onlyDHW Sensor with On/Off Temperatures120F40F40F - 200F40F - 180F65F0-40F - 120F-40F - 100F0Disabled0-100Disable / Enable0-100OutletLocalOutletInletS5 (J8-11) sensorNoneLocalS2 (J8-6) 4-20 mA with Sensor on/offS2 (J8-6) 4-20 mA with Burner on/off120F140F40F- 200F40F- 200FEnableSTAT TerminalSTAT Terminal / Sensor Only10F15F2F- 30F2F- 30F140 F140 F40F- 200F40F- 200FNoLocalYES / NOLocal / S2 (J8-6) 4-20 mA20100-100CH EnableDemand SwitchCH has Priority over Lead LagSetpoint SourceSetpointTime of Day SetpointLow Water TemperatureMinimum Boiler Water TempDHW EnableP GainI GainD GainEnableMaximum Outdoor TemperatureMinimum Outdoor TemperatureOff HysteresisOn Hysteresis4 mA Water Temperature20 mA Water TemperatureModulation SensorModulation Rate SourceDemand SwitchPriority Method9.I Parameter Defaults and RangesTable 22.
