10INSTRUCTIONS FOR USEBEFORE USE• The beauty of home-made ices are you can tailor the ingredients to your tastes anddietary requirements, and use seasonal fruits to flavour. For some simple ideas toget you started, see RECIPES.• Place the freezer bowl in the freezer for at least 12 hours before use.1. Choose a recipe and prepare your mixture and let it cool. Note: Chill the ingredients in thefridge before use. Warm ingredients or ingredients at room temperature will prolong thepreparation time.2. Take the freezer bowl from the freezer and attach the lid with the power unit,timer and paddle.Warning: Use a dry towel to hold the freezer bowl. Direct contact with the frozenbowl may make your hands stick to the freezer bowl. If this happens, hold yourhands under warm running water for a few moments.3. Insert the plug into the socket and switch it on. The screen will light up for a second to showit is connected. Press the “Power” button, the LCD screen will light up and read 00.00.The “M” in the display indicates the number of minutesand the “S” the number of seconds.4. Set the selected preparation time (00.05 – 40.00 mins) by pressing the “Timer” button.Each time you press the “Timer” button, 5 minutes will be added to the preparation time.The paddle starts turning a couple of seconds after you have stopped pressing the “Timer”button and the time starts to count down on the LCD screen.5. Pour your mixture into the maker through the filler opening.Note: The maker must be switched on with the paddle turning before you pouryour mixture into the freezer bowl. This stops the mixture immediately freezingagainst the inside wall of the container.DO NOT pour too much mixture into the bowl. Leave at least 4cm from the topof the bowl, so that the mixture can expand in volume during preparation.6. Let the maker run until the ice has reached the correct consistency.
