Important Safety Information1/30/19 1Important Safety InformationListed below are common practices that may or may not be applicable to the productsdescribed in this manual.Safety at All TimesCareful operation is your bestassurance against an accident.All operators, no matter how muchexperience they may have, shouldcarefully read this manual andother related manuals, or have themanuals read to them, beforeoperating the power machine andthis attachment. Thoroughly read and understandthe “Safety Label” section. Readall instructions noted on them. Do not operate the equipmentwhile under the influence of drugsor alcohol as they impair the abilityto safely and properly operate theequipment. Operator should be familiar with allfunctions of the tractor/skid steerand attachment and be able tohandle emergencies quickly. Make sure all guards and shieldsappropriate for the operation are inplace and secured beforeoperating attachment. Keep all bystanders away fromequipment and work area. Start tractor/skid steer from thedriver’s seat with steering leversand hydraulic controls in neutral. Operate tractor/skid steer andcontrols from the driver’s seat only. Never dismount from a movingtractor/skid steer or leave machineunattended with engine running. Do not allow anyone to standbetween tractor/skid steer andattachment while hooking-up. Keep hands, feet, and clothingaway from power-driven parts. While transporting and operatingequipment, watch out for objectsoverhead and along side such asfences, trees, buildings, wires, etc. Store attachment in an area wherechildren normally do not play.When needed, secure attachmentagainst falling with support blocks.Look for the Safety Alert SymbolThe SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL indicates there is apotential hazard to personal safety involved and extrasafety precaution must be taken. When you see thissymbol, be alert and carefully read the message thatfollows it. In addition to design and configuration ofequipment, hazard control, and accident prevention aredependent upon the awareness, concern, prudence, andproper training of personnel involved in the operation,transport, maintenance, and storage of equipment.OFFREMOVESkid Steer ShutdownAnd Storage Reduce engine speed and shut-offall power to the attachment. Park on solid, level ground andlower attachment until it is flat onthe ground or support blocks. Turn off engine, and removeswitch key to prevent unauthorizedstarting. Relieve all hydraulic pressures. If included, raise seat bar andmove controls until both lock. Wait for all components to stopbefore leaving operator’s seat. Use steps, grab-handles andanti-slip surfaces when steppingon and off the skid steer. Detach and store attachment in anarea where children normally donot play. Secure attachment byusing blocks and supports.Tractor Shutdown & Storage Reduce engine speed and shut-offall power to the attachment. Park on solid, level ground andlower attachment to ground oronto support blocks. Put tractor in park or set parkbrake, turn off engine, and removeswitch key to prevent unauthorizedstarting. Relieve all hydraulic pressures. Wait for all components to stopbefore leaving operator’s seat. Use steps, grab-handles andanti-slip surfaces when steppingon and off the tractor. Detach and store implement in anarea where children normally donot play.
