Park on solid, level ground andlower implement to ground or ontosupport blocks. Put tractor in park or set parkbrake, turn off engine, and removeswitch key to prevent unauthorizedstarting. Relieve all hydraulic pressure toauxiliary hydraulic lines. Wait for all components to stopbefore leaving operator’s seat. Use steps, grab-handles andanti-slip surfaces when steppingon and off the tractor. Detach and store implement in anarea where children normally donot play. Secure implement usingblocks and supports.OFFREMOVELook for the Safety Alert SymbolThe SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL indicates there is apotential hazard to personal safety involved and extrasafety precaution must be taken. When you see thissymbol, be alert and carefully read the message thatfollows it. In addition to design and configuration ofequipment, hazard control, and accident prevention aredependent upon the awareness, concern, prudence, andproper training of personnel involved in the operation,transport, maintenance, and storage of equipment.Safety Precautions forChildrenTragedy can occur if the operatoris not alert to the presence ofchildren. Children generally areattracted to implements and theirwork. Never assume children will remainwhere you last saw them. Keep children out of the work areaand under the watchful eye of aresponsible adult. Be alert and shut the implementand tractor down if children enterthe work area. Never carry children on the tractoror implement. There is not a safeplace for them to ride. They mayfall off and be run over or interferewith the control of the powermachine. Never allow children to operate thepower machine, even under adultsupervision. Never allow children to play on thepower machine or implement. Use extra caution when backingup. Before the tractor starts tomove, look down and behind tomake sure the area is clear.Safety at All TimesCareful operation is your bestassurance against an accident.All operators, no matter how muchexperience they may have, shouldcarefully read this manual andother related manuals, or have themanuals read to them, beforeoperating the power machine andthis implement. Thoroughly read and understandthe “Safety Label” section. Readall instructions noted on them. Do not operate the equipmentwhile under the influence of drugsor alcohol as they impair the abilityto safely and properly operate theequipment. The operator should be familiarwith all functions of the tractor andattached implement and be able tohandle emergencies quickly. Make sure all guards and shieldsappropriate for the operation are inplace and secured beforeoperating implement. Keep all bystanders away fromequipment and work area. Start tractor from the driver’s seatwith hydraulic controls in neutral. Operate tractor and controls fromthe driver’s seat only. Never dismount from a movingtractor or leave tractor unattendedwith engine running. Do not allow anyone to standbetween tractor and implementwhile backing up to implement. Keep hands, feet, and clothingaway from power-driven parts. While transporting and operatingequipment, watch out for objectsoverhead and along side such asfences, trees, buildings, wires, etc. Do not turn tractor so tight as tocause hitched implement to rideup on the tractor’s rear wheel. Store implement in an area wherechildren normally do not play.When needed, secure attachmentagainst falling with support blocks.Be Aware ofSignal WordsA signal word designates a degree orlevel of hazard seriousness.
