Use seed charts beginning on page 22 todetermine which range is correct for the seed you aredispersing. Some seeds work with both ranges.High Range Set-up With Gauge Wheel DriveInstructions below change seeder from low to high range.Refer to Figure 3-2 & Figure 3-3:1. Loosen flange lock nut (#1) and remove drivechain (#2) from speed change sprocket (#3).2. Pull down on spring idler sprocket (#4) and removedriven chain (#5) from speed change sprocket (#3).3. Being careful not to lose the washer behind the19/35 tooth sprocket (#3), remove 5/8" bolt, lockwasher and flat washer (#6).Refer to Figure 3-1 & Figure 3-3:4. Make certain existing washer is still on the idler shaft.Install 19/35 tooth sprocket (#3) with 19 toothsprocket in front of 35 tooth sprocket. Secure speedchange sprocket with flat washer, lock washer and5/8" bolt (#6). Tighten bolt to correct torque.5. Drive chain (#2) should be 66 pitches long and drivenchain (#5) should be 140 pitches long. If drive chainhas 74 pitches, remove 8 pitches from it and addthose 8 pitches to the driven chain.6. Replace 140 pitch driven chain (#5) first and then the66 pitch drive chain (#2). Make sure the spring idlersprocket (#4) is pressing against driven chain (#5).7. Retention drive chain (#2) by pressing down on itsidler sprocket. When tensioned properly, tighten1/2" flange lock nut (#1) to maintain that tension.Low Range Set-up With Gauge Wheel DriveInstructions below change seeder from high to low range.Refer to Figure 3-1 & Figure 3-3:1.
