15.1.5 Alltel15.1.5.1 ProvisioningAlltel uses both OTAPA and a manual process for provisioning their modems. The OTAPAprocess is for voice phones and requires the user to follow a number of prompts and enter buttons. This is not normally possible with a modem and so the manual process must be followed. TheESN is entered into their database and an MDN and MIN number are assigned to the account. The MDN is the number that is used to contact the modem and the MIN is an internal numberthat is used for cellular network routing. Most of the times the numbers are the same, however attimes the numbers could be different. It is very important to program these numbers correctlybecause if they are reversed the modem will not work correctly. The MIN is automatically loadedwith the MDN number so the MDN must be entered first. If the MSID number is differentfrom the MDN you may have to contact Land-Cellular to program this value.AT+LCPAST=1AT$KWMODE=1AT$KWSPC=000000AT$KWDIR=10-Digit (MDN) Directory Phone Number From Cellular Carrier (WithoutHyphens)AT$KWMODE=2AT+CDV | Call your cell phone to test that it activated, when it rings, confirm the number matches, answer and then hang-up to disconnect the call.(Do not enter the angle brackets, just the cellphone number with no spaces.)15.1.5.2 1xRTT Connections (Username and Password)Dial: #777Username: MDN@alltel.net (example 5085551234@alltel.net)Password: alltel
