173845. Tie the jib sheet onto the jib clew by takingthe jib sheet in the centre and passing the loopthrough the clew cringle. Pass the two free endsthrough the loop and pull tight. Ensure thatthe two rope ends are the same length.6. Thread one loose end of the jib sheet throughthe plastic fairlead on the port deck and theother through the corresponding fairlead on thestarboard deck. (immediately aft of the mastbuttress)7. Finally tie a Figure eight stopper knot in eachloose end to prevent accidental unthreadingwhen in use.10. Fitting The Rudder Assembly1. Insert the aft/rear end of the tiller arm tube into the rudder head tiller arm hood travelling ina forward to aft/rearward direction.2. Line up the tiller arm retaining screw hole withits corresponding recess/hole on the uppermostaft/rear surface of the rudder head tiller armhood.3. Locate the tiller arm retaining screw, driving itcarefully through both the rudder head and thetiller arm.4. Clip the tiller extension to its mounting bracketon the uppermost forward surface of the tillerarm.5. Take the rudder assembly and pass the tillerextension and tiller arm under the mainsheetbridle strop at the aft/stern edge of the boat.6. Lower the rudder head assembly onto the ruddergudgeons situated on the stern/transom of theboat.7. Ensure the integral rudder gudgeon clip (blue)is successfully engaged, resulting in the rudderhead automatic “clicking” in to place securely.8. Fit the secondary rudder retaining split ringthrough the upper pintle pin.Note: To remove the rudder assembly from thetransom gudgeons, the rudder retaining split ringmust be removed and the integral rudder gudgeonclip (blue) pressed inward.
