-29-Please note that the infeed onlyruns as long as the rocker switch ispressed. When the rocker switch isreleased, the infeed and saw driveare immediately switched off.Move the saw unit into home position by pressing therocker switch in direction . On reaching the restposition, the reverse motion is switched offautomatically.DangerEven in reverse motion, the sawblade may still be turning.Only move the saw unit backwardsif the saw blade is in rest position.Failure to do so may damage thecut edge on the workpiece! If youinterrupt the infeed before reachingthe stop slide, you have to bring thesaw blade into rest position beforeits reverse motion by actuating theclamping lever 21 (Fig. 6).5.8 Plunge cutsWith this system, you can safely execute plunge cuts.An otherwise existing hazard due to backlash doesnot exist with this machine using this operatingsequence.Execute plunge cuts as follows:1. Move the saw unit by actuating the rockerswitch 22 (Fig. 1) in direction until the frontmarking 23 (Fig. 6) agrees with the desired endof the plunge cut that has been marked on theworkpiece.DangerDuring the movement, the sawblade drive is also turned on.Please note that the marking onlyagrees with the desired plungepoint if the saw unit has been set tothe deepest cutting depth. Adjust the stop slide 16 in the groove of theguide rail such that it is located 120 mm (4 ¾in.) behind the marked end of the plunge cut. By actuating the feed switch, move the saw unitin direction until the rear marking 24 agreeswith the desired start of the plunge cut that hasbeen marked on the workpiece. Switch off the feed speed (see section 4.4) andswitch on the saw drive with rocker switch 22(Fig. 1) (see section 4.5). Release the saw blade's locking mechanism inrest position by pressing the plunge handle 20and then press the saw unit into the cuttingposition until it engages. Execute the saw cut by pressing the rockerswitch 22 in direction until the saw unit runsup against the stop slide 16 (Fig. 6) causing thesaw blade to automatically return from cuttingposition into rest position. To do so, you have toswitch the infeed back on again. Switch off the saw drive by releasing the rockerswitch. Move the saw unit back into home position bypressing the rocker switch in direction .5.9 ScoringWith the board sawing system, it is also possible tocut coated boards splinter-free with the integratedscoring equipment.Proceed as follows: Turn the scoring lever 25 (Fig. 7) in the directionspecified on arrow symbol 26 (with that youoffset the saw blade by approx. 0.15 mm (1/128in.) into the position "scoring"). Set the cutting depth to 2 mm (1/16 in.) (seesection 4.2). Execute the scoring cut. Move the saw unit backinto home position. Turn the scoring lever 25 back into basicposition. Set the cutting depth according to the workpiecethickness (see section 4.2). Execute theseparating cut.
