Section TitleTRX GlossaryTRX GLOSSARY OF KEY TERMSYour TRX7 account syncs seamlessly withmyTRXjournal and all TRX mobile apps.This glossary will familiarize you with allfunctions associated with your TRX7 andall applications accessible with your TRXuser account.Note: Unless otherwise noted, allinterface terms are applicable to theTRX7 device and all TRX mobile apps.Account Profile: overarching term fordata associated with a user’s account,including user name, password, savedtrails/trips, social media accounts, etc.Achievements: aggregate of badgesearned by a user for riding a certainamount of miles, riding in specificlocations, riding in specific sponsoredevents, etc.Active Track: the real-time tracking of auser’s geographic location.All Trails: trails that appear orangewhen a user pans across the map inmyTRXjournal.Backtrack: allows a user to return to thebeginning of their Active Track. Whenselected, the user’s track is highlighted,guidance arrows mark the route aheadof the user’s current position, and childwaypoints alert the user along the ActiveTrack. Voice notifications alert the user atthe end of the Active Track.Basemap: lowest layer of the map thatprovides geographic context to orientusers on the map.TRX users can toggle between twobasemap views:Map View: shows road network,topography, selected land use areas suchas forest and park boundaries, streetlabels, populated areas, etc.Satellite View: shows aerial imagery ofthe earth’s surface (myTRXjournal only).Bearing Line Navigation: user selectsa destination waypoint. TRX displaysa highlighted bearing line to thedestination at all times. All Trail andTrack types user has turned ON appearon the Basemap. No guidance arrows,Child Waypoint pop-ups, or audioguidance is provided, but the distance tothe user’s destination (as the crow flies)is displayed.Child Waypoint: a waypoint recordedeither during an active track, when auser attaches the waypoint to a Trip,Track, or Trail that already exists, orwhen a user attaches the waypoint to aTrip or Track that they are creating butnot actively recording at the time.Detail Waypoint: created by a user bypausing an Active Track, selecting theDetail Waypoint icon, and choosing awaypoint and associated details from theDetail Waypoint menus.Dirt Miles: cumulative amount of mileslogged by a user when a Track is savedto the user’s account. A user can earnAchievements for driving increasingamounts of Dirt Miles.
