8AssemblyThe electric air heater must be installedcorrectly in line with the valid regulationsrelating to ventilation channels. Installationcan be made in horizontal or vertical ducts. It is important to ensure that:• the electric air heater is installed after the fan, inthe air flow direction. Otherwise there is a dangerthat the fan motor will overheat. It is not necessaryfor the fan to have a run-on time to cool theelectric air heater.• the air direction arrow [P] is taken into account.• if the unit is installed in a horizontal duct, theterminal box must be installed above or at amaximum of 90° to the side of the duct. It is not per-mitted to install the connection box below the duct.• there is a minimum air flow speed of 1.5 metresper second through the air heater. An LW 9 airflow monitor must be installed to monitor this.• there is a duct length of at least 1 metre betweenthe fan and the electric air heater, to allow the airflow to calm down. This ensures a problem-freeflow of air through the air heater. The ductdiameter must correspond to that of the fan, i.e.it should not increase or reduce it.• the gap between the electric air heater and ductbend, fans, air filters and shutters is at leastequal to twice the diameter of the duct. If the gapis too small, this can lead to an unbalanced airflow, can trigger the thermal cut-off or can causea fire.• the sensors are correctly located, as describedin the mounting instructions,• a type „TFE...“ air filter is installed ahead of theair heater,• the insulation is made of non-flammable material,• the rating plate is easy to read even afterinstallation,• the terminal box is easy to get to.Assembly instructions for the instal-lation of the sensors [3], [4] and LW 9Please take the following distances into accountwhen locating the various devices.• FL 60 P channel sensor:Should be located after the electric air heater, ata distance equal to approximately twice thediameter of the duct. Drill a 10 mm diameterhole in the duct and fix the sensor with tappingscrews. It should be located centrally with smallducts and with a maximum of the engagedlength with large ducts.• LW 9 air flow monitor:This should be installed ahead of the fan as theair flow is more or less the same at this point(see also the separate instructions). Set the airflow monitor so that the minimum air speedthrough the air heater is 1.5 metres per second.Electrical connection• Please refer to the last page or the cover of theterminal box for wiring diagrams.• The electrical connection is made using theterminals in the terminal box.• The degree of protection is only guaranteed ifthe cables are correctly fed in through suitablecable screw-connections. To do this, makeholes for the cables using the correspondingknockout points in the terminal box. The cablescrew-connections are not included and shouldbe supplied by the customer.• The electric air heater may only be connectedto a permanent power source. The incomingpower cable must be fitted with a mains isolationdevice that has contact openings of at least3.5 mm at each pole.• The temperature limits within the ventilationchannel can be set using the two setpointcontrollers „D“ and „E“ on the electronic circuitboard:– MIN limits = 0...30°C– MAX limits = 20...60°C• The MIN limit setting can be activated/deactivated with the jumper plug „G“.• The MAX limit setting range must always beactivated.i
