Otherwise, the laser may damage youreyes.Connect Cable/FiberConnect Ethernet cables as follows:Step 1: Insert one end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 Ethernetinterface of the switch electrical interface.Step 2: Insert other end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 Ethernet portof some other device.Step 3: Check all status indicators for the ports; a lighted LED indicatesthat the link is established. Otherwise, the link is not ready and the cableshould be examined.Caution:Check sign on the interface to ensure using the right port. Connecting towrong ports may damage the switch modules.Connect the fiber as follows:Step 1: Remove the protective plug from SFP/XFP fiber transceiver.Remove protective cap from one end of the fiber cable. Keep the fiber endclean.Step 2: Attach one end of the fiber cable to SFP/XFP transceiver, andother end to the transceiver of the corresponding device. The SFP/XFPtransceiver’s TX port should be connected to the RX port of thecorresponding device, and vice versa.Step 3: Check the fiber port status indicator. A lighted LED indicates thatthe link is established. Otherwise, the link is not ready and should beexamined.
