7When using a large diameter bit, attach pieces of woodto the straight guide which have a thickness of more than15 mm (5/8”) to prevent the bit from striking the straightguide.When cutting, move the tool with the straight guide flushwith the side of the workpiece.Templet guide (optional accessory)The templet guide provides a sleeve through which thebit passes, allowing use of the tool with templet patterns.To install the templet guide, loosen the screws on the toolbase, insert the templet guide and then tighten thescrews.Secure the templet to the workpiece. Place the tool onthe templet and move the tool with the templet guide slid-ing along the side of the templet.NOTE:• The workpiece will be cut a slightly different sizefrom the templet. Allow for the distance (X) betweenthe bit and the outside of the templet guide. Thedistance (X) can be calculated by using the follow-ing equation:Distance (X) = (outside diameter of the templetguide - bit diameter) / 2Trimmer guide (optional accessory)Trimming, curved cuts in veneers for furniture and the likecan be done easily with the trimmer guide. The guideroller rides the curve and assures a fine cut.Install the trimmer guide on the guide holder with thewing bolt (B). Insert the guide holder into the holes in thetool base and tighten the wing bolt (A). To adjust the dis-tance between the bit and the trimmer guide, loosen thewing bolt (B) and turn the fine adjusting screw (1.5 mm or1/16” per turn). When adjusting the guide roller up ordown, loosen the wing bolt (C). After adjusting, tighten allthe wing bolts securely.When cutting, move the tool with the guide roller ridingthe side of the workpiece.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off andunplugged before attempting to perform inspectionor maintenance.1.
