To attach the dust bag, fit it ontothe dust spout. When the dust bag is about one-third full,remove the dust bag from the tool and pull the fastenerout. Empty the dust bag of its contents, tapping it lightlyso as to remove particles adhering to the insides whichmight hamper collection.OPERATIONFig.9Hold the tool firmly. Set the base plate on the workpieceto be cut without the wheel making any contact. Thenturn the tool on and wait until the wheel attains full speed.Move the tool forward over the workpiece surface,keeping it flat and advancing smoothly until the cutting iscompleted. Keep your cutting line straight and yourspeed of advance uniform.CAUTION:• Be sure to move the tool forward in a straight lineand gently. Forcing and exerting excessivepressure or allowing the wheel to bend, pinch ortwist in the cut can cause overheating of the motorand dangerous kickback of the tool.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off andunplugged before attempting to perform inspectionor maintenance.• Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol or thelike. Discoloration, deformation or cracks mayresult.Dressing diamond wheelIf the cutting action of the diamond wheel begins todiminish, use an old discarded coarse grit bench grinderwheel or concrete block to dress the diamond wheel. Todo this, tightly secure the bench grinder wheel orconcrete block and cut in it.After useBlow away dust from the inside of the tool by running thetool at an idle for a while. Brush off accumulation of duston the base. Accumulation of dust in the motor or on thebase may cause a malfunction of the tool.Replacing carbon brushesFig.10Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly.Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime. Use only identical carbon brushes.Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder caps.
