This maycause the blade to be extracted unexpectedly dur-ing operation.To remove the blade, follow the installation procedure inreverse.Hex wrench storageWhen not in use, store the hex wrench as shown in thefigure to keep it from being lost.OPERATIONCAUTION:• Always press the shoe firmly against the workpieceduring operation. If the shoe is held away from theworkpiece during operation, strong vibration and/ortwisting will be produced, causing the blade to snapdangerously.• Always wear gloves to protect your hands from hotflying chips when cutting metal.• Be sure to always wear suitable eye protectionwhich conforms with current national standards.• Always use a suitable coolant (cutting oil) when cut-ting metal. Failure to do so will cause prematureblade wear.• If the tool is operated continuously until the batterycartridge has discharged, allow the tool to rest for15 minutes before proceeding with a fresh battery.Press the shoe firmly against the workpiece. Do not allowthe tool to bounce. Bring the blade into light contact withthe workpiece. Turn the tool on and wait until the bladeattains full speed. Then apply pressure to cut the work-piece.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before attempting toperform inspection or maintenance.To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs,any other maintenance or adjustment should be per-formed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service Centers,always using Makita replacement parts.
