Do not touch the drill bit or the workpieceimmediately after operation; they may beextremely hot and could burn your skin.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSInstalling top grip (auxiliary handle) (Fig. 1)Screw the top grip on the machine securely.Installing or removing drill bitImportant:Always be sure that the machine is switched off andunplugged before installing or removing the bit.For machines with standard keyed chuck (Fig. 2)To install the bit, place it in the chuck as far as it willgo. Tighten the chuck by hand. Place the chuck key ineach of the three holes and tighten clockwise. Be sureto tighten all three chuck holes evenly.To remove the bit, turn the chuck key counterclock-wise in just one hole, then loosen the chuck by hand.After using the chuck key, be sure to return it to theoriginal position.For machines with keyless chuck (Fig. 3)Hold the ring and turn the sleeve counterclockwise toopen the chuck jaws. Place the bit in the chuck as faras it will go. Hold the ring firmly and turn the sleeveclockwise to tighten the chuck. To remove the bit, holdthe ring and turn the sleeve counterclockwise.Switch actionCAUTION:• Before plugging in the machine, always check tosee that the switch trigger actuates properly andreturns to the ‘‘OFF’’ position when released.• Change the direction of rotation only after themachine comes to a complete stop. Changing itbefore the machine stops may damage themachine. (Model 6013BR only)Model 6013B (Fig. 4)To start the machine, simply pull the trigger. Releasethe trigger to stop. For continuous operation, pull thetrigger and then push in the lock button. To stop themachine from the locked position, pull the trigger fully,then release it.3
