8fastener driving tool. Set the air pressure initially to thelower value of the recommended allowable pressure.40. Do not attempt to keep the trigger contact elementdepressed with tape or wire. Death or serious injurymay occur.• Always check contact element as instructed in thismanual. Pins may be driven accidentally if thesafety mechanism is not working correctly.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.INSTALLATIONSelecting compressor (Fig. 2)The air compressor must comply with the requirements ofEN60335-2-34.Select a compressor that has ample pressure and airoutput to assure cost-efficient operation. The graph showsthe relation between pin-driving frequency, applicablepressure and compressor air output. Thus, for example, if pin driving takes place at a rate ofapproximately 15 times per minute at a compression of1.76 MPa (17.6 bar), a compressor with an air output over70 liters/minute is required.Pressure regulators must be used to limit air pressure tothe rated pressure of the tool where air supply pressureexceeds the tool’s rated pressure. Failure to do so mayresult in serious injury to tool operator or persons in thevicinity.Selecting air hose (Fig. 3)Use a high pressure resistant air hose.Use an air hose as large and as short as possible toassure continuous, efficient pin-driving operation.CAUTION:• Low air output of the compressor, or a long or smallerdiameter air hose in relation to the pin-drivingfrequency may cause a decrease in the drivingcapability of the tool.Lubrication (Fig. 4)To insure maximum performance, install an air set (oiler, regulator, air filter) as close as possible to the tool. Adjustthe oiler so that one drop of oil will be provided for every30 pins. (Fig. 5)When an air set is not used, oil the tool with pneumatictool oil by placing two or three drops into the air fitting. This should be done before and after use. For properlubrication, the tool must be fired a couple of times afterpneumatic tool oil is introduced.FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTIONCAUTION:• Always disconnect the air hose before adjusting orchecking function on the tool.Adjusting the pin-driving depthCAUTION:• Always disconnect the hose before adjusting the pin-driving depth. (Fig. 6 & 7)If pins are driven too deep, turn the adjuster clockwise. Ifpins are driven too shallow, turn the adjustercounterclockwise. The adjustable range is 10 mm. (One full turn allows0.8 mm adjustment.)HookCAUTION:• Always disconnect the hose when hanging the toolusing the hook.• Never hang the tool on a waist belt or like. Dangerousaccidental firing may result. (Fig. 8)The hook is convenient for hanging the tool temporarily. This hook can be installed on either side of the tool. When changing the installation position, remove thescrew with a screwdriver. Install the hook on another sidefor installation and then secure it with the screw.Install the hook on another side for installation and thensecure it with the screw.Use the nose adapterCAUTION:• Always disconnect the hose before installing orremoving the nose adapter. (Fig. 9)If you like to avoid shifting of driving points by slippage onworkpiece, attach the nose adapter of contact element.Usually use one of two nose adapter A (transparent), onefactory-installed on the contact element and the otherstored below the grip. When working on narrow partition tracks, use nose one oftwo nose adapter B (black) which are provided with in thetool carton box.To attach the nose adapter to the contact element, press itonto the contact element as far as it will go.Locking the triggerThis nailer is provided with the mechanism for lockingtrigger to avoid personal injuries and property damagecaused by improper operation during other than pin-driving operation. (Fig. 10)Set the change lever to the LOCK position to lock thetrigger. (Fig. 11)Before driving pins, set the change lever to the FREEposition. When NOT driving pins, be sure to set thechange lever to the LOCK position and disconnect the airhose.ASSEMBLYCAUTION:• Always disconnect the air hose before loading thenailer.Loading the nailer (Fig. 12)Disconnect the air hose from the tool. Select pins suitablefor your work. Depress the latch lever and open the doorand magazine cap. (Fig. 13)Place the pin coil in the magazine. Uncoil enough pins toreach the pin guide. Place the first pin in the feeder andthe second pin in the feed claw. Place other uncoiled pinson feeder body. Close the magazine cap slowly until it lockafter checking to see that the pin coil is set properly in themagazine. |
