7Lighting up the front lamp (Fig. 4)CAUTION:• Do not look in the light or see the source of lightdirectly.Pull the switch trigger to light up the lamp. The lampkeeps on lighting while the switch trigger is being pulled.The lamp goes out 10 -15 seconds after releasing thetrigger.NOTE:• Use a dry cloth to wipe the dirt off the lens of lamp. Becareful not to scratch the lens of lamp, or it may lowerthe illumination.Reversing switch action (Fig. 5)This tool has a reversing switch to change the direction ofrotation. Depress the reversing switch lever from the Aside for clockwise rotation or from the B side forcounterclockwise rotation.When the reversing switch lever is in the neutral position,the switch trigger cannot be pulled.CAUTION:• Always check the direction of rotation before operation.• Use the reversing switch only after the tool comes to acomplete stop. Changing the direction of rotationbefore the tool stops may damage the tool.When not operating the tool, always set the reversingswitch lever to the neutral position.Depth adjustmentThe depth can be adjusted by turning the locator. Turn it in“B” direction for less depth and in “A” direction for moredepth. One full turn of the locator equals 2 mm change indepth. (Fig. 6)Adjust the locator so that the distance between the tip ofthe locator and the screw head is approximately 3 mm asshown in the figures. Drive a trial screw into your materialor a piece of duplicate material. If the depth is still notsuitable for the screw, continue adjusting until you obtainthe proper depth setting. (Fig. 7)ASSEMBLYCAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before carrying out anywork on the tool.Installing or removing the bitTo remove the bit, pull the locator. Then grasp the bit witha pair of pliers and pull the bit out of the magnetic bitholder. Sometimes, it helps to wiggle the bit with the pliersas you pull. (Fig. 8)To install the bit, push it firmly into the magnetic bit holder.Then install the locator by pushing it firmly back. (Fig. 9)Hook (Fig. 10)The hook is convenient for temporarily hanging the tool.This can be installed on either side of the tool.To install the hook, insert it into a groove in the toolhousing on either side and then secure it with a screw. Toremove, loosen the screw and then take it out.OPERATIONScrewdriving operation (Fig. 11)Fit the screw on the point of the bit and place the point ofthe screw on the surface of the workpiece to be fastened.Apply pressure to the tool and start it. Withdraw the toolas soon as the clutch cuts in. Then release the switchtrigger.CAUTION:• When fitting the screw onto the point of the bit, becareful not to push in on the screw. If the screw ispushed in, the clutch will engage and the screw willrotate suddenly. This could damage a workpiece orcause an injury.• Make sure that the bit is inserted straight in the screwhead, or the screw and/or bit may be damaged.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before attempting toperform inspection or maintenance.• Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol or thelike.
