8Replacing carbon brushes1006258Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime. Use only identical carbon brushes.Use a screwdriver to remove two screws then removethe rear cover.12006600Raise the arm part of the spring and then place it in therecessed part of the housing with a slotted bitscrewdriver of slender shaft or the like.12 3006601Use pliers to remove the carbon brush caps of the carbonbrushes. Take out the worn carbon brushes, insert thenew ones and replace the carbon brush caps in reverse.1006602Make sure that the carbon brush caps have fit into theholes in brush holders securely.12006304Reinstall the rear cover and tighten two screws securely.After replacing brushes, insert the battery cartridge intothe tool and break in brushes by running tool with no loadfor about 1 minute.
