6FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTIONCAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before adjusting orchecking function on the tool.Installing or removing battery cartridge123012695CAUTION:• Always switch off the tool before installing orremoving of the battery cartridge.To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in place witha little click. If you can see the red indicator on the upperside of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION:• Always install the battery cartridge fully until thered indicator cannot be seen. If not, it mayaccidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.• Do not use force when installing the batterycartridge. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, itis not being inserted correctly.Battery protection system(Lithium-ion battery with star marking)1012128Lithium-ion batteries with a star marking are equippedwith a protection system. This system automatically cutsoff power to the tool to extend battery life.The tool will automatically stop during operation if thetool and/or battery are placed under one of the followingconditions:• Overloaded:The tool is operated in a manner that causesit to draw an abnormally high current.In this situation, release the switch trigger onthe tool and stop the application that causedthe tool to become overloaded. Then pull theswitch trigger again to restart.If the tool does not start, the battery isoverheated. In this situation, let the batterycool before pulling the switch trigger again.• Low battery voltage:The remaining battery capacity is too low andthe tool will not operate. Toolspeed is increased by increasing pressure on the switchtrigger. Release the switch trigger to stop.Lighting up the front lamp1012700CAUTION:• Do not look in the light or see the source of lightdirectly.Pull the switch trigger to light up the lamp.
