42. Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle withthe cutter blade stopped. Proper handling of thehedge trimmer will reduce possible personalinjury from the cutter blades.3. Hold the power tool by insulated grippingsurfaces only, because the cutter blade maycontact hidden wiring. Cutter blades contactinga "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of thepower tool "live" and could give the operator anelectric shock.4. DANGER - Keep hands away from blade.Contact with blade will result in serious personalinjury.5. Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or in wetor very damp conditions. The electric motor is notwaterproof.6. First-time users should have an experiencedhedge trimmer user show them how to use thetrimmer.7. The hedge trimmer must not be used by childrenor young persons under 18 years of age. Youngpersons over 16 years of age may be exemptedfrom this restriction if they are undergoing trainingunder the supervision of an expert.8. Clean the hedge trimmer and especially the cutterafter use, and before putting the trimmer intostorage for extended periods. Lightly oil the cutterand put on the cover. The cover supplied with theunit can be hung on the wall, providing a safe andpractical way to store the hedge trimmer.20. Store the hedge trimmer with the cover on, in adry room. Keep it out of reach of children.
