Release theswitch lever to stop.Switch lever can be pulled from either top or back side ofthe tool.OPERATIONHold the tool straight when inserting/operating. Use thetool within the effective vibrations range at equidistantintervals. The effective air bubble removal range is aboutten times diameter of the vibrating head, or around 250mm.Do not use this tool to move concrete within a form. The mortar will just move away and the coarseaggregate will remain, causing segregation.001960Effective leveling and removal of air bubblesRemoval of the air bubbles is complete after you haveworked the tool throughout each effective range, theconcrete stops shrinking, and the mortar has risenevenly to the surface, giving off a light appearance.Gently remove the operating tool not to leave holes.NOTE:• Vibrating too long in a single place causesconcrete segregation.• When the coarse aggregates segregates whenplacing concrete, shovel out the coarse aggregateand put it where there is plenty of mortar. Then usethe tool on it. Don't leave coarse aggregate in thesegregated condition. When concreting a slope site, always pour from thebottom at the beginning. This way the weight of thefreshly poured concrete and vibration will lead toeffective removal of air bubbles. Conversely, if thepouring is done first from above, the mortar will separateand eventually slide to the bottom.Slope001961MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before attempting toperform inspection or maintenance. To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should beperformed by Makita Authorized Service Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
