4 ENGLISH6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edgesare less likely to bind and are easier to control.7. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions, tak-ing into account the working conditions andthe work to be performed. Use of the power toolfor operations different from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.8. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry,clean and free from oil and grease. Slipperyhandles and grasping surfaces do not allow forsafe handling and control of the tool in unexpectedsituations.9. When using the tool, do not wear cloth workgloves which may be entangled. The entangle-ment of cloth work gloves in the moving parts mayresult in personal injury.Battery tool use and care1. Recharge only with the charger specified bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of firewhen used with another battery pack.2. Use power tools only with specifically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and fire.3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may beejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-tact accidentally occurs, flush with water. Ifliquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medicalhelp. Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modified. Damaged or modified batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting infire, explosion or risk of injury.6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to fire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.7. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.Service1. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the powertool is maintained.2. Never service damaged battery packs. Serviceof battery packs should only be performed by themanufacturer or authorized service providers.3. Follow instruction for lubricating and chang-ing accessories.Cordless cutter safety warnings1. The guard provided with the tool must besecurely attached to the power tool andpositioned for maximum safety, so the leastamount of wheel is exposed towards the oper-ator. Position yourself and bystanders awayfrom the plane of the rotating wheel. The guardhelps to protect operator from broken wheel frag-ments and accidental contact with wheel.2. Use only bonded reinforced or diamond cut-offwheels for your power tool. Just because anaccessory can be attached to your power tool, itdoes not assure safe operation.3. The rated speed of the accessory must be atleast equal to the maximum speed marked onthe power tool. Accessories running faster thantheir rated speed can break and fly apart.4. Wheels must be used only for recommendedapplications. For example: do not grind withthe side of cut-off wheel. Abrasive cut-off wheelsare intended for peripheral grinding, side forcesapplied to these wheels may cause them toshatter.5. Always use undamaged wheel flanges that areof correct diameter for your selected wheel.Proper wheel flanges support the wheel thusreducing the possibility of wheel breakage.6. Do not use worn down reinforced wheels fromlarger power tools. Wheels intended for a largerpower tool are not suitable for the higher speed ofa smaller tool and may burst.7. The outside diameter and the thickness of youraccessory must be within the capacity ratingof your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessoriescannot be adequately guarded or controlled.8. The arbour size of wheels and flanges mustproperly fit the spindle of the power tool.Wheels and flanges with arbour holes that do notmatch the mounting hardware of the power toolwill run out of balance, vibrate excessively andmay cause loss of control.9. Do not use damaged wheels. Before eachuse, inspect the wheels for chips and cracks.If power tool or wheel is dropped, inspect fordamage or install an undamaged wheel. Afterinspecting and installing the wheel, positionyourself and bystanders away from the planeof the rotating wheel and run the power toolat maximum no load speed for one minute.Damaged wheels will normally break apart duringthis test time.10. Wear personal protective equipment.Depending on application, use face shield,safety goggles or safety glasses. As appro-priate, wear dust mask, hearing protectors,gloves and shop apron capable of stoppingsmall abrasive or workpiece fragments. Theeye protection must be capable of stopping flyingdebris generated by various operations. The dustmask or respirator must be capable of filtratingparticles generated by your operation. Prolongedexposure to high intensity noise may cause hear-ing loss. |
