Battery cartridgeCAUTION:• Always switch off the tool before installing orremoving of the battery cartridge.• Hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmlywhen installing or removing battery car-tridge. Failure to hold the tool and the batterycartridge firmly may cause them to slip off yourhands and result in damage to the tool andbattery cartridge and a personal injury.To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Install it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION:• Always install the battery cartridge fully until thered indicator cannot be seen. If not, it may acci-dentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to youor someone around you.• Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. This system automatically cuts off the power toextend tool and battery life. The tool will automaticallystop during operation if the tool or battery is placedunder one of the following conditions:Overload protectionThis protection works when the tool is operated in amanner that causes it to draw an abnormally high cur-rent. In this situation, turn the tool off and stop the appli-cation that caused the tool to become overloaded. Thenturn the tool on to restart.
