14 ENGLISHMachine / battery protection systemThe machine is equipped with a machine/batteryprotection system. This system automatically cuts offpower to the motor to extend machine and battery life.The machine will automatically stop during operation if themachine or battery cartridge is under one of the follow-ing conditions. A short beep sound is emitted before themachine stops automatically. The battery indicators andLED indicators blink while the beep sound is emitted.Overload protectionWhen the machine is operated in a manner that causesit to draw an abnormally high current, the machine auto-matically stops without any indication. In this situation,turn the machine off and remove the cause of overload,and then turn the machine on to restart.Overheat protectionWhen the machine is overheated, the machine stopsautomatically. Let the machine cool down before turningthe machine on again. The overheat protection is likelyto work under high temperature environment.Overdischarge protectionWhen the battery capacity becomes low, the machinestops automatically. If the machine does not operateeven when the switches are operated, remove thebattery cartridge and charge it.Switching the battery cartridge1► 1. Battery selection switchUp to two battery cartridges can be installed in thebattery box, although the machine uses one batterycartridge for operation. Before operating the machine,select the battery cartridge used for operation by press-ing the number on the battery selection switch.NOTICE: If only one battery cartridge is installed inthe battery box, be sure to select the battery box inwhich the battery cartridge is installed.Indicating the remaining batterycapacity on the battery boxCAUTION: Before checking the remainingbattery capacities or switching the battery car-tridge, be sure to stop the machine.1 1 2► 1.
