4 ENGLISH9. Do not allow the hot nozzle of the heat guntouch any object or material that is flammableor easily melted or damaged by heat when theheat gun is running or shortly after turning off.10. When installing or removing the nozzle, allowthe nozzle to cool sufficiently.11. After use, allow the tool to stand on its ownor place the heating nozzle upward beforecooling.12. Always turn off the heat gun, disconnect thepower source and let it cool down completelybefore moving or storing.13. Never obstruct the air inlet or air ventilationin any way. Doing so could cause the heat gunextremely hot and damaged.14. Do not allow any object drop into the nozzle ofthe heat gun. It may cause short circuit or overheat.15. Never point the heat gun towards any otherpersons or flammable objects.16. Heat slowly while moving the heat gun up,down, left and right. Do not apply to the sameplace for a long time.17. Clean the paint from the nozzle; it could ignite.18. When using the tool with it stands on its own,put the tool on the stable position.19. When using the tool with accessories, makesure that the accessories attached to the toolfirmly.20. Use Makita's genuine accessories.21. Do not take the tool as a blower.22. Indication: Battery is partially charged whendelivered. The battery has to be fully chargedto ensure the battery power before first timeusage. Battery pack has to be removed fromthe tool for charging.23. Battery can be charged at any time which willnot shorten its lifetime. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.6. Under abusive conditions, liquid may beejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-tact accidentally occurs, flush with water. Ifliquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medicalhelp. Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.7. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modified. Damaged or modified batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting infire, explosion or risk of injury.8. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to fire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.9. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.10. Have servicing performed by a qualified repairperson using only identical replacement parts.This will ensure that the safety of the product ismaintained.11. Do not modify or attempt to repair the tool orthe battery pack except as indicated in theinstructions for use and care.Important safety instructions forbattery cartridge1. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-tions and cautionary markings on (1) batterycharger, (2) battery, and (3) product usingbattery.2. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-ductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-tainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large currentflow, overheating, possible burns and even abreakdown.6. Do not store and use the tool and battery car-tridge in locations where the temperature mayreach or exceed 50 °C (122 °F). |
