8 ENGLISHASSEMBLYCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore carrying out any work on the tool.Installing or removing driver bit/drill bitOptional accessory► Fig.10: 1. Sleeve 2. Close 3. OpenTurn the sleeve counterclockwise to open the chuckjaws. Place the driver bit/drill bit in the chuck as faras it will go. Turn the sleeve clockwise to tighten thechuck. To remove the driver bit/drill bit, turn the sleevecounterclockwise.Installing hook► Fig.11: 1. Groove 2. Hook 3. ScrewThe hook is convenient for temporarily hanging the tool. This can be installed on either side of the tool. To installthe hook, insert it into a groove in the tool housing oneither side and then secure it with a screw. To remove, loosen the screw and then take it out.Installing driver bit holderOptional accessory► Fig.12: 1. Driver bit holder 2. Driver bitFit the driver bit holder into the protrusion at the tool footon either right or left side and secure it with a screw. When not using the driver bit, keep it in the driver bitholders. Driver bits 45 mm-long can be kept there.OPERATIONCAUTION: Always insert the battery cartridgeall the way until it locks in place. If you can see thered indicator on the upper side of the button, it is notlocked completely. Insert it fully until the red indicatorcannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall out ofthe tool, causing injury to you or someone aroundyou.CAUTION: When the speed comes downextremely, reduce the load or stop the tool toavoid the tool damage.Hold the tool firmly with one hand on the grip and theother hand on the bottom of the battery cartridge tocontrol the twisting action.► Fig.13Screwdriving operationCAUTION: Adjust the adjusting ring to theproper torque level for your work.CAUTION: Make sure that the driver bit isinserted straight in the screw head, or the screwand/or driver bit may be damaged.First, turn the action mode changing ring so that thearrow on the tool body points to the marking.Place the point of the driver bit in the screw head andapply pressure to the tool. Start the tool slowly and thenincrease the speed gradually. Release the switch triggeras soon as the clutch cuts in.NOTE: When driving wood screw, pre-drill a pilot hole2/3 the diameter of the screw. It makes driving easierand prevents splitting of the workpiece.Hammer drilling operationCAUTION: There is a tremendous and sud-den twisting force exerted on the tool/drill bitat the time of hole breakthrough, when the holebecomes clogged with chips and particles, orwhen striking reinforcing rods embedded in theconcrete.First, turn the action mode changing ring so that thearrow on the tool body points to the marking. Theadjusting ring can be aligned in any torque levels forthis operation.Be sure to use a tungsten-carbide tipped drill bit.Position the drill bit at the desired location for the hole, then pull the switch trigger. Do not force the tool. Lightpressure gives best results. Keep the tool in positionand prevent it from slipping away from the hole.Do not apply more pressure when the hole becomesclogged with chips or particles. Instead, run the tool atan idle, then remove the drill bit partially from the hole.By repeating this several times, the hole will be cleanedout and normal drilling may be resumed.Blow-out bulbOptional accessory► Fig.14: 1. Blow-out bulbAfter drilling the hole, use the blow-out bulb to clean thedust out of the hole.Drilling operationFirst, turn the action mode changing ring so that thearrow points to the marking. Then proceed asfollows.Drilling in woodWhen drilling in wood, the best results are obtainedwith wood drills equipped with a guide screw. The guidescrew makes drilling easier by pulling the drill bit intothe workpiece.
