11For tool without dust nozzle provided as a standardequipment, replace the lever fixed on the lower guard tothe one supplied with the dust nozzle (optionalaccessory) at the same time when installing the dustnozzle. Otherwise you will not be able to make a cutbecause the lower guard movement is hindered by thedust nozzle.OPERATIONCAUTION:• Be sure to move the tool forward in a straight linegently. Forcing or twisting the tool will result inoverheating the motor and dangerous kickback, possibly causing severe injury.• Always use a front grip and rear handle and firmlyhold the tool by both front grip and rear handleduring operations.Fig.19Hold the tool firmly. The tool is provided with both a frontgrip and rear handle. Use both to best grasp the tool. Ifboth hands are holding saw, they cannot be cut by theblade. Set the base on the workpiece to be cut withoutthe blade making any contact. Then turn the tool on andwait until the blade attains full speed. Now simply movethe tool forward over the workpiece surface, keeping itflat and advancing smoothly until the sawing iscompleted. To get clean cuts, keep your sawing line straight and yourspeed of advance uniform. If the cut fails to properlyfollow your intended cut line, do not attempt to turn orforce the tool back to the cut line. Doing so may bind theblade and lead to dangerous kickback and possibleserious injury. Release switch, wait for blade to stop andthen withdraw tool. Realign tool on new cut line, and startcut again. Attempt to avoid positioning which exposesoperator to chips and wood dust being ejected from saw.Use eye protection to help avoid injury.Rip fence (Guide rule) (optional accessory)Fig.20The handy rip fence allows you to do extra-accuratestraight cuts. Simply slide the rip fence up snuglyagainst the side of the workpiece and secure it inposition with the clamping screw on the front of the base.It also makes repeated cuts of uniform width possible.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before carrying outany work on the tool.• Clean out the upper and lower guards toensure there is no accumulated sawdust whichmay impede the operation of the lowerguarding system. Ifthe dust is being blown out of the guards besure the proper eye and breathing protection isused.• Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol orthe like. Discoloration, deformation or cracks mayresult.Adjusting for accuracy of 0° and 45° cut(vertical and 45° cut)Fig.21Fig.22This adjustment has been made at the factory. But if it isoff, adjust the adjusting screws with a hex wrench whileinspecting 0° or 45° the blade with the base using atriangular rule or square rule, etc. Use the 45° stopperfor adjusting 45° angle.Adjusting bevel guideFig.23The bevel guide has been factory adjusted.
