11Make sure all levers and screws are tightened. Slightlyloosen the screw as illustrated. While opening the lowerguard, move the rear of base so that the distance A andB are equal. After adjusting, tighten the screw. Make atest cut to get a correct parallelism.Replacing carbon brushesFig.23Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly.Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime. Use only identical carbon brushes.Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder caps.Take out the worn carbon brushes, insert the new onesand secure the brush holder caps.Fig.24After replacing brushes, insert the battery cartridge intothe tool and break in brushes by running tool with noload for about 1 minute. Then check the tool whilerunning and electric brake operation when releasing theswitch trigger.
