8 ENGLISHNOTE: If you remove the recipro saw blade withoutrotating the blade clamp lever fully, the lever may notbe locked in the released position . In this case,rotate the blade clamp lever fully again, then makesure that the blade clamp lever locked at the releasedposition .NOTE: If the blade clamp lever is positioned insidethe tool, switch on the tool just a second to let theblade out. Remove the battery cartridge from the toolbefore installing or removing the recipro saw blade.OPERATIONCAUTION: Always press the shoe firmlyagainst the workpiece during operation. If theshoe is removed or held away from the workpieceduring operation, strong vibration and/or twisting willbe produced, causing the blade to snap dangerously.CAUTION: Always wear gloves to protectyour hands from hot flying chips when cuttingmetal.CAUTION: Be sure to always wear suitableeye protection which conforms with currentnational standards.CAUTION: Always use a suitable coolant(cutting oil) when cutting metal. Failure to do so willcause premature blade wear.CAUTION: Do not quirk the blade duringcutting.Press the shoe firmly against the workpiece. Do notallow the tool to bounce. Bring the recipro saw bladeinto light contact with the workpiece. First, make a pilotgroove using a slower speed. Then use a faster speedto continue cutting.► Fig.12NOTICE: Do not cut the workpiece with the shoeaway from the workpiece or without the shoe.Doing so increases the reaction force which maybreak the recipro saw blade.MAINTENANCECAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore attempting to perform inspection ormaintenance.NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,alcohol or the like.
