34 ENGLISHState of abnormality Probable cause (malfunction) RemedyThe vacuum cleaner does not runalong with the switch operation ofthe tool.The wireless unit is not installed intothe tool.The wireless unit is improperly installedinto the tool.Install the wireless unit correctly.The terminal of the wireless unit and/orthe slot is dirty.Gently wipe off dust and dirt on the terminal of thewireless unit and clean the slot.The wireless activation button on thetool has not been pushed.Push the wireless activation button briefly and makesure that the wireless activation lamp is blinkingin blue.The stand-by switch on the vacuumcleaner is not set to "AUTO".Set the stand-by switch on the vacuum cleaner to"AUTO".More than 10 tools are registered to thevacuum cleaner.Perform the tool registration again.If more than 10 tools are registered to the vacuumcleaner, the tool registered earliest will be cancelledautomatically.The vacuum cleaner erased all toolregistrations.Perform the tool registration again.No power supply Supply the power to the tool and the vacuumcleaner.The tool and vacuum cleaner is awayfrom each other (out of the transmissionrange).Get the tool and vacuum cleaner closer each other.The maximum transmission distance is approxi-mately 10 m however it may vary according to thecircumstances.Radio disturbance by other applianceswhich generate high-intensity radiowaves.Keep the tool and vacuum cleaner away from theappliances such as Wi-Fi devices and microwaveovens.The vacuum cleaner runs while thetool's switch trigger is not pulled.Other users are using the wirelessactivation of the vacuum cleaner withtheir tools.Turn off the wireless activation button of the othertools or cancel the tool registration of the othertools.MAINTENANCEWARNING: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and batteries are removed beforeattempting to perform inspection or maintenance.Failure to removing the batteries and switch off thetool may result in accidental start up of the tool whichmay result in serious personal injury.WARNING: Always be sure that the blade issharp and clean for the best and safest perfor-mance. Attempting a cut with a dull and /or dirty blademay cause kickback and result in a serious personalinjury.NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation orcracks may result.Adjusting the cutting angleThis tool is carefully adjusted and aligned at the factory,but rough handling may have affected the alignment. Ifyour tool is not aligned properly, perform the following:Miter angleLower the handle fully and lock it in the lowered positionby the stopper pin. Push the carriage toward the guidefence. Loosen the grip and the screws which secure thepointer and miter angle scale.► Fig.70: 1. Screw on pointer 2. Screws on miterangle scale 3. Miter scaleSet the turn base to the 0° position using the positive stopfunction. Square the side of the blade with the face of the guidefence using a triangular rule or try-square. While keeping thesquare, tighten the screws on the miter angle scale. After that,align the pointers (both right and left) with the 0° position in themiter angle scale and then tighten the screw on the pointer.► Fig.71: 1. Triangular ruleBevel angle0° bevel anglePush the carriage toward the guide fence and lock thesliding movement by the stopper pin. Lower the handle fullyand lock it in the lowered position by the stopper pin andthen loosen the knob. Turn the 0° adjusting bolt two or threerevolutions counterclockwise to tilt the blade to the right.► Fig.72: 1. 0° Adjusting bolt 2. ScrewCarefully square the side of the blade with the top surfaceof the turn base using the triangular rule, try-square, etc.by turning the 0° adjusting bolt clockwise. Then tighten theknob firmly to secure the 0° angle you have set.► Fig.73: 1. Triangular rule 2. Saw blade 3. Top sur-face of turn baseCheck if the side of the blade squares with the turn basesurface once again. Loosen the screw on the pointer.Align the pointer with 0° position in the bevel anglescale and then tighten the screw.45° bevel angleNOTICE: Before adjusting the 45° bevel angle,finish 0° bevel angle adjustment.
