Discoloration, deformation orcracks may result.Adjusting the cutting angleThis tool is carefully adjusted and aligned at the factory,but rough handling may have affected the alignment. Ifyour tool is not aligned properly, perform the following:Miter angleLower the handle fully and lock it in the lowered positionby the stopper pin. Push the carriage toward the guidefence. Loosen the grip and the screws which secure thepointer and miter angle scale.► Fig.70: 1. Screw on pointer 2. Screws on miterangle scale 3. Miter scaleSet the turn base to the 0° position using the positive stopfunction. Square the side of the blade with the face of the guidefence using a triangular rule or try-square. While keeping thesquare, tighten the screws on the miter angle scale. After that,align the pointers (both right and left) with the 0° position in themiter angle scale and then tighten the screw on the pointer.► Fig.71: 1. Triangular ruleBevel angle0° bevel anglePush the carriage toward the guide fence and lock thesliding movement by the stopper pin. Lower the handle fullyand lock it in the lowered position by the stopper pin andthen loosen the knob. Turn the 0° adjusting bolt two or threerevolutions counterclockwise to tilt the blade to the right.► Fig.72: 1. 0° Adjusting bolt 2. ScrewCarefully square the side of the blade with the top surfaceof the turn base using the triangular rule, try-square, etc.by turning the 0° adjusting bolt clockwise. Top sur-face of turn baseCheck if the side of the blade squares with the turn basesurface once again. Loosen the screw on the pointer.Align the pointer with 0° position in the bevel anglescale and then tighten the screw.45° bevel angleNOTICE: Before adjusting the 45° bevel angle,finish 0° bevel angle adjustment.
