4 ENGLISH6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edgesare less likely to bind and are easier to control.7. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions, tak-ing into account the working conditions andthe work to be performed. Use of the power toolfor operations different from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.8. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, cleanand free from oil and grease. Slippery handles andgrasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling andcontrol of the tool in unexpected situations.9. When using the tool, do not wear cloth work gloveswhich may be entangled. The entanglement of cloth workgloves in the moving parts may result in personal injury.Battery tool use and care1. Recharge only with the charger speciied bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of irewhen used with another battery pack.2. Use power tools only with speciically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and ire.3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a ire.4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejectedfrom the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-dentally occurs, lush with water. If liquid contactseyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejectedfrom the battery may cause irritation or burns.5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modiied. Damaged or modiied batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting inire, explosion or risk of injury.6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to ire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to ire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.7. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range speciied in the instruc -tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the speciied range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of ire.Service1. Have your power tool serviced by a qualiiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the powertool is maintained.2. Never service damaged battery packs. Serviceof battery packs should only be performed by themanufacturer or authorized service providers.3. Follow instruction for lubricating and chang-ing accessories.Cordless trimmer safety warnings1. Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces,because the cutter may contact hidden wiring.Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed metal partsof the power tool "live" and shock the operator.2. Use clamps or another practical way to secureand support the workpiece to a stable plat-form. Holding the work by your hand or againstthe body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss ofcontrol.3. Wear hearing protection during extendedperiod of operation.4. Handle the trimmer bits very carefully.5. Check the trimmer bit carefully for cracks ordamage before operation. Replace cracked ordamaged bit immediately.6. Avoid cutting nails. Inspect for and remove allnails from the workpiece before operation.7. Hold the tool irmly.8. Keep hands away from rotating parts.9. Make sure the trimmer bit is not contacting theworkpiece before the switch is turned on.10. Before using the tool on an actual workpiece,let it run for a while. Watch for vibration orwobbling that could indicate improperlyinstalled bit.11. Be careful of the trimmer bit rotating directionand the feed direction.12. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the toolonly when hand-held.13. Always switch off and wait for the trimmer bitto come to a complete stop before removingthe tool from workpiece.14. Do not touch the trimmer bit immediately afteroperation; it may be extremely hot and couldburn your skin.15. Do not smear the tool base carelessly withthinner, gasoline, oil or the like. They maycause cracks in the tool base.16. Use trimmer bits of the correct shank diametersuitable for the speed of the tool.17. Some material contains chemicals which maybe toxic. Take caution to prevent dust inhala -tion and skin contact. Follow material suppliersafety data.18.
